About Shoxl
Shoxl is a leading SaaS e-commerce platform focused on the B2B sector: manufacturers and wholesalers. Shoxl stands out from other products in this market by taking the users' ERP system as the starting point for setting up the e-commerce channel. Shoxl has out-of-the-box integrations with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and Exact, among others.
Architecture
The Shoxl e-commerce platform is based on an advanced technical architecture that, as a seasoned developer, you will no doubt be very enthusiastic about. Almost all the components we use come from the Microsoft stack.
In our product architecture we follow the component commerce approach. We see an e-commerce solution as a collection of cooperating components. The Shoxl core fills in all the core e-commerce functions. Communication with components from specialized third parties runs through APIs.
Technical environment
Our development pipeline is state-of-the-art. We use the latest version of the Microsoft development environment (.NET 7) and program in C#. We use Bootstrap as the framework for responsive applications. On the front end we also make extensive use of Less, soon Sass. For Vendisto, our management system and a single-page app, we also use several JavaScript libraries. We are considering React or Vue for further development.
In our applications we follow the MVC model and make extensive use of event-driven architectures. Web services (and formats such as REST, XML and JSON) play a central role. The relevant DBMSs are SQL Server and RavenDB. We use the latter, a document database, as a caching layer under our shops and portals.
For testing we have chosen unit-based testing, with NCrunch as a supporting tool. We build the software with TeamCity and use Octopus Deploy for deployment. We use GIT as our SCM tool and Fogbugz for bug tracking.
Hosting is in Microsoft Azure. We make extensive use of the advanced facilities the Azure environment offers us. We take part in the Microsoft Partner Network.
Development approach
In our product development we use the Scrum method. We release every two weeks. Every sprint starts with a prioritization and estimation session. There is a stand-up every morning, and the sprint ends with a demo day. The team is self-managing and divides the tasks among its members.

Your profile
What are we looking for? A "full-stack" Microsoft .NET developer who is familiar with all application layers. At the very least, you have complete command of the back-end aspects of an application. Knowledge of front-end technologies, database optimization and hosting is desirable.
So you have at least several years of experience in an environment much like ours. It does not have to be a 100% match, but the main languages and tools will hold no secrets for you.
As a company we constantly try to push our boundaries, and we expect professionalism from you and, above all, a real interest in, if not a passion for, software technology. You not only want to work in a professional, state-of-the-art environment, but also actively follow developments in your field and, together with your colleagues, introduce improvements in working methods and tooling.
Besides your technical expertise, you therefore also have the communication skills needed for good contact with your technical colleagues and the product owner. You show initiative and independence, and you enjoy working in a team where you share your knowledge and build a top product together.

Another advantage of this location is that we are within walking distance of all the nice places for our Friday afternoon drinks.
